            Comments of clients:

The room was smaller than i expected, especially from the on-line pictures. The elevator did not work at first and i had to carry my own luggage up 6 floors. The view of the Eiffel Tower was exactly as described, beautiful.

Paris was in the middle of a heat wave (105 degrees Fahrenheit) during our stay and the Hotel Arley has no air conditioning. Other than that discomfort, the hotel location and the staff were wonderful!

Overall, the experience was good. The problem came on the last night when I tried to confirm our shuttle reservation back to the airport. The lady, who was the most helpful and friendly of all of the hotel staff, made our reservation on Sunday. On Tuesday night, I tried confirming the reservation, and the gentleman made me another reservation. I then tried to ensure it was "confirmed" and that I needed to use a credit card, and he was upset that he had to cancel the one he just made (though I had clearly stated that I was "confirming a reservation") and told me that I should have asked for that ahead of time. He then told me there was nothing I could do. So after returning 10 minutes later, I asked him to try to find me a shuttle that would accept a credit card because I only had 150FF left. He reluctantly helped, and I also explained that his sign says "1-4 people - 350FF" and he told me that the price was for "1-3 people" and could "be more than 350FF" which is not what the sign indicates. I also tried to politely tell him that he may want to add a note at the bottom that says "Please indiciate if you are using a credit card or cash" but he told me that it was "my problem" and "my fault". On Wednesday morning, our beaten up taxi cab arrived at 09:20 and started running the meter as soon as he pulled up, though he wasn't to be there until 09:30. The meter was at 70FF by the time we got in the cab. When we finally arrived at the airport, I pulled out my credit card, and the taxi cab driver went crazy, didn't speak any English, and tried to tell me to go inside and get cash. After almost starting an international incident, and him pulling at my girlfriend's bags, he accepted what I had in USD and a 20FF (though trying to tell me I owed him more). So overall, the first few days were rather pleasant, but the last, and most impressionable 24 hours, were less than satisfactory. I think the hotel could have tried to help a bit more in assisting with the shuttle reservation and their "shuttle service" sign should be a bit more accurate. Thank you for your time. Steve

This hotel is a basic, well-priced Paris hotel with an exceptionally helpful staff at your service. We stayed several nights and although the rooms are smallish, were happy and comfortable.

They should have a "do not disturb" sign. I didn't like that the cleaners came in to the room when we where there. They should have waited until we left the hotel/room.

Friendly, clean and very nicely situated close to the tower and a metro station. Safe location to take small children.

The hotel staff was excellent about giving directions, and the location to the Eiffel Tower is magnificent. We were able to take advantage of the location and do a lot of walking. But if you are looking for luxury, this is a basic but clean hotel. I would recommend it for the location.

Good value for money - airconditioning in the room would be desirable, particularly in the summer.

our room was in a basement so that comfort was a huge zero, staff was very nice but room was very bad.
