Close to metro stop, which makes it a couple of stops away from nearby Oberkampf and Le Marais quartiers, which are really interesting neighborhoods, if you want something other than the overcrowded tourist locations. The hotel itself may be small, but more importantly, clean and comfortable. The marble bath is a perk and the area isn't noisy, so there's no sleep interruption. And nearby boulangeries have awesome pastries and croissants. I do recommend this place for people interested in something off the beaten path. Avis sur l'hotel The Hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was ensuite but smallish, but as we only slept in it - who's worrying. There wasn't any tea or coffee making in the room, but there was satellite tv and a phone. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was basic french, with fresh rolls and croissants together with jams and spreads. Tea and coffee aplenty with orange juice, yogourt and frosties (well they tasted like frosties !). Help yourself !The area looked dodgy, but don't judge the book by its cover ! Everyone was friendly and polite.I am looking forward to my return trip around Christmas time, and intend coming back here. But the rooms are drab, college dorm style. The woman at the front desk was indifferent. We stayed there for a weekend. On Saturday, there was loud party in a building right across from the Hotel. We were really scared when we got there but It was like stepping into someones house. Tiny elevator and tiny everything, but really clean and friendly people. Our room had a balcony with lovely flowers hanging from it which gave it a very special touch. If you are travelling on a budget but are picky about your hotels, this is a good option. The neighbourhood was also quite pleasant to walk around... Nice cafes to have breakfast if you want to skip the croissant at the hotel... The rooms are very clean, very well kept though small and the main handicap of this hotel are the paper thin walls. You can hear all too much but to the credit of the other guests, it would seem that they all understood this and made a real attempt to keep the noise down.Showers are well tiled and neat but once again, small.The breakfast (included @ 67 euros) was up to Paris standards and minimal but adequate. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and tries hard.The main attraction of this hotel is the location. One short block from the Gare de Est and four from the Gare du Nord. The Metro is in the Gare de Est and very convenient. If you have to do any travel out of Paris via train, this hotel would be hard to beat. Airport access is great.Restaurants in the nearby area are sparse (good ones, anyway) but a short distance away, you have tourist Paris and all that it offers. Avis sur l'hotel I was in the Trinite Plaza, in Paris, for two nights in january 2005. The single room I asked for was big enough for me and everything was clean and the breakfast, good enough. The staff is friendly and the hotel is quite well situated in the city. It's not exactly in the city center, but you can go by walking to the Opera area, to Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge and if you like to walk you can go to the center in 40 minutes. The area is close to Pigalle but you feel safe walking alone in the street and, what is very important, is in a quiet and peaceful street. Rooms were clean and tidy with hair dryer, coffee maker\coffee and mini fridge... you pay for drinks!Overall a great value for an above average hotel in the middle of St. Germain. The Boullion Racine Bistro is right across the street and we had a great dinner there.We paid 98 Euros per room for a total including taxes of 200 Euros per night. This did not include breakfast... Bathrooms are private and very western in facilities, and exceptionally cleaned each day. Price is very competitive. Location, Location. This hotel is within two blocks of two Metro stations, which together serve 95% of greater paris. The gardens of Luxemborg are two blocks away, and were a true gem for lunchs and relaxing, don't miss it. Hotel has cable news and is scheduled to have A/C in Summer 2005. The rooms were quiet, with refrigerator, desk, chairs, bed, closet, fan.But, the best part of this hotel is its front desk staff. Aurthur, the main hotel manager, is a truely genuine, caring individual. Fluent in English, he was constantly willing to help, directed, and advise. Such a pleasant experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful with calling taxis, recommending restaurants, giving us maps, and making us reservations. A fire was going every evening when we returned from our day. we had a quiet and clean room on the 5th floor (although small like most French hotels). A wonderful area of Paris to stay in. A five minute walk to the Seine and a ten minute walk to Notre Dame. Tons of great restaurant within walking distance. Alfredo Positano was our favorite-one of the Le Clos Medicis staff recommended it to us and we actually went twice during our stay. We will go back! Avis sur l'hotel My wife and I spent 2 nights in this quaint hotel, very close to Notre Dame and a very nice walk to the Louvre. The location could not have been better and the room was very clean and the staff very accomidating. We really felt we were in a typical neighborhood not in a tourist location. The cafes around the hotel were very good and if you want to use the Metro the stop is very near the hotel. We would not only stay here again but also recommend this hotel to friends. Avis sur l'hotel This was a nice hotel. This was my 3rd trip to Paris and like the previous hotel rooms I stayed in, the room was pretty small and the double bed was pretty short. The hotel is one block from a metro stop and is on a quieter road that leads to the Arc de Triumphe, so the location is great. There is a nearby bakery and wine store that we utilized and several cafes/brasseries. The staff was nice and all spoke English. The one goofy thing about the room was the shower/tub. There was a bath tub with one of the shower heads that you had to hold and there was no shower curtain. I flooded the bathroom once, but learned my lesson after that. Avis sur l'hotel I visited this hotel during New Year's and would have to say it was more than I expected. The staff was very pleasant and the room was comfortable and bigger than what I thought it would be. There was some construction going on in some of the rooms, which was distracting but lasted only a day or two. It is about 5 blocks from the Champ Elysees and 2 blocks away from a view of the Eiffel Tower. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone. Avis sur l'hotel We found ourselves checked-in at a disappointing so-called three-star hotel (two stars would have been pushing it). A quick tour of the neighbourhood streets yielded only fully-booked hotels, when we spotted the Arioso down a nondescript sidestreet. Not only did they have room but the rates were decent and were upgraded to a Superior room (with a balcony). The staff were young and helpful, the room very pleasant, quiet and comfortably furnished. The bathroom had quality fittings and a clean all-white suite. Not a central location but within walking distance of the Champs Elysee, Madeleine and the Haussmann shops.
